Khmer Enterprise (KE) organised a ceremony to distribute grants to 38 start-ups and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to aid them in stabilising their businesses, improving operations and boosting their export capabilities.
The event was overseen by Hem Vanndy, Minister of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Khmer Enterprise.
“Khmer Enterprise has built on the past achievements and is committed to its mission to further strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem with a particular focus on nurturing start-ups and SMEs in the priority sectors of the Government,” he said.
“Through the provision of extensive technical assistance and robust financing mechanisms, Khmer Enterprise has been empowering local enterprises enhancing their competitiveness and market access, thus contributing more to job creation and economic growth of Cambodia,” Vanndy added.
Since 2020, Khmer Enterprise has been executing a range of programmes aimed at offering direct financial aid to numerous start-ups and SMEs across Cambodian provinces and cities.
The assistance provided by Khmer Enterprise to local enterprises encompasses various aspects, starting from nurturing entrepreneurship among high school students to fostering a robust entrepreneurial culture.
