Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam – The Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation (MISTI), in collaboration with the Young Entrepreneurs Association of Cambodia (YEAC), UNIDO, and GIZ, co-organized a Business Matchmaking and Exchange Visit to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, from December 22 to 25, 2024.
The Cambodian delegation, comprising 25 representatives from MISTI, the Ministry of Women’s Affairs, GIZ, and SME owners, engaged in a series of activities designed to strengthen business and trade collaboration. Key events included a networking session with approximately 50 Vietnamese and Cambodian businesses, focusing on advanced food processing technologies and shared experiences in business development.
The delegation visited prominent facilities, including San Ha Co., Ltd., a leading agribusiness specializing in high-quality poultry and processed food products; Hoang Phat Fruits Co., Ltd., a major fruit exporter; and Viet Mold Machine Co., Ltd., renowned for its expertise in cashew nut processing machinery. These visits provided the Cambodian representatives with valuable insights into modern technologies aimed at fostering innovation and boosting production capabilities.
A highlight of the trip was a business matchmaking event hosted by Cambodia’s Commercial Office in Vietnam in collaboration with the Consulate General of Cambodia in Ho Chi Minh City. Businesses from Cambodia, Vietnam, and Singapore explored new partnerships and trade opportunities in key sectors such as agriculture, agro-industry, technology, and trade.
The business matchmaking and exchange visit was supported by the GIZ-implemented regional project “Strengthening Regional Structure for Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion in ASEAN,” YEAC, and UNIDO.
