The EuroCham ESG Contest and Awards ceremony was held on November 20, 2024 to celebrate Cambodian businesses that excel in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices. The event highlighted the growing importance of ESG principles in fostering sustainable and ethical business landscape.

H.E. Hem Vanndy, Minister of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Khmer Enterprise, congratulated the awardees and praised all participating companies for their commitment to addressing global challenges like climate change and social inequality.

“ESG is no longer a checkbox on a corporate report; it is a framework for better decisions for our planet, our communities, and our organizations,” he said.

Minister Vanndy urged businesses to persist in their efforts to integrate ESG principles, emphasizing the long-term value of sustainable practices. He also commended EuroCham and Khmer Enterprise for their role in championing ESG initiatives in Cambodia.

The EuroCham ESG Awards recognized outstanding achievements in five categories: Environment Leader; Diversity, Equity & Social Leader; Industry Partnership Leader; Technology Leader; and Youth Leader.
